Can't believe what i saw in the Adelphi last night. Bouncers powerless to intervene, wouldn't be surprised if`someone was dead.
It was like a wild western movie, chairs, tables, bottles used as weapons.
Before this troublemakers slapping people round the head and causing general aggravation.
Why do the minority have to ruin things for the majority?
Why do the black youth feel the need 'to run tings'? Hello it's Sheffield not Kingston not South Central LA, there is opportunity for everyone if they wish to engage.
As soon as these people learn some respect for fellow mankind am sure the world would be a better place and u could at least go for a dance at the weekend without worrying about if you'll make it out of the club alive.
It also took me nearly 10 minutes to get the police on a 999 call, and there's a police station just across the road!!

This is an outrage and quite the opposite of what they state in their little promo. Drink, dance, relax indeed (http://www.clubadelphi.com/index2.html) !! They have appeared to have missed off fight, take a bottle to the head and riot!!

What happened in more detail?

The bouncers ? Why were they powerless ?

what he said was some guys was knockin the c**p out of this guy and asked them to stop, but they turned on him, ended up in A+E, and is lookin a little rough today.

Well what has the world come to, when you try and help people, and this happens.

Whats back people got to do with anything? Are you saying that only black youths fight? Its everyone.

Probably because the fighting individuals outnumbered the door staff.

Have you been in there spyro 2000 i think not. there are regular groups or gangs of black youths cruising around the adelphi looking menacing and generally causing trouble. its not a race thing its a fact, you mighnt be adviced to go in the place and take a look before posting, just a thought.:thumbsup:

Thats funny I only say things I know nothing about - which is a good thing because I know nothing:loopy:

With regard to race, my father moved here from Jamaica when he was a child and my mother is white British born. I didn't have the most priveliged of upbringings but did have an understanding of what constistutes being a decent and hard working citizen. It seems that the black youth see any hardship they may have had to endure as an excuse to behave without regard or respect for any other than their own.
My fathers generation had to endure the growing pains of being one of the first waves of immigrant workers to enter this country who had to endure racism in the worst extremes, Yet they still managed to hold down jobs and contribute to the tapestry of Britain.
It's a shame for so many upwardly mobile blacks asains etc, when the minority paint a bad picture, and that the aspirations of some in these groups can't stretch beyond criminal activity.
So what is the problem, you tell me?

It's strange then isn't it that black professional women outnumber thier male counterparts by 10 to 1. This has not happened by coincidence thier must be a reason why people from ethnic minority backgrounds do badly at school and their working lives.
Is it possible to debate this subject without getting all politically correct?
There are race based issues in this country that do apply to specific groups, so please don't be so short sited as to think people and their issues are all the same.
I am also fully aware of the fact that the majority white population also has the 'chav' phenonemom, the reasons this has come about are likely to be different then those of other races.
In this country we are now paying for the liberalism of those in power in the 70's who had this wonderful idea that all people were equal and should be treated as such.
Strange then looking at the state of education that the government wants to create centre's of excellence so people of school age can do something that suits their abilities.
Is this because they have realised that peoples needs and abilities are different?
