Zylkene is a food additive to help dogs thro stressful periods, my vet recommended it for Josh. He was due for his vIT b12 Injection this week and his blood test to manage his EPI complaint. Normally its a nightmare. He hates the vet with a vengance.
The vet says they have had a fair bit of success with it. Its been popular in France and Italy apparently.
You are recommended to use it the day before a stressful event and in the case of the vet visit on that day also. But can be used before kennelling and during the kennel stay and for dogs who are fearful of fireworks etc

I've had roaring success with Serene-um, a natural supplement that helps increase the level of serotonin in the body, enabling them to cope with stressful sitations as well as allowing them to accept positive reinforcement in a situation they would normally find too stressful to concentrate in.

I've not used Zylkene for the purposes you describe (vet asked me to try it with Eddy's barking but it did zilch) so can't comment but I can say that I've used Serene-um (which is over the counter in pet shops) with great success.

We've used it and it's very good. Our dog definitely benefitted.

Buy it online from www.petdispensary.co.uk as it's far cheaper than from the vet and delivery is excellent

I've been using it daily for one of my mental dogs. I'd say his panic attacks have decreased as a result, especially at bed time. I'm giving him Diazepam to get him through a week in kennels though! I've had no success with a DAP infuser in the past. I will check out the website mentioned to check on prices as it is costing me £31 a month from my vet. How much does Serene-um cost and how many pills are there in the packet?

can only speak for my Stanley, but we have notice big changes it is working great. we were worried we would lose his silly personality but he is the same daft Stanley lol.
he has it just after tea, and he settles down when we are in bed. he so afraid of the wind and used to pace up and down all through the night.
this has completly stopped, its amazing he seems so much more happier. :)
