Just wondered if anyone on here works for HMCS in Sheffield? Was offered a position at Sheffield Magistrates' Court back in August, and it is taking aaages to get a start date from them (I have had to go through health checks, but even so!).. Would be grateful to know if this is normal?

If its anything like the Home Office or UK border Agency I would say YES its normal .. they will have to do all sorts of security checks on you. It took them 4 months to do my OH's checks for the Home Office.:)

As far as I know all checks have been done now, and it's in the hands of a regional manager.. It's just a bit worrying, when you haven't really had anything in writing..

I think after the news last night with a damming report on delays in criminal injuries payments - they are likely to have a big recruitment drive...
