We all identify with characters we see on the telly (those of us who have one) or people in novels or movies!

Which character do you think is most like you? And no, this is not an opportunity for my small army of detractors out there to have a go (or may be it is!!):D :D :D

Remember the distinction between who we would like to be like and who we are actually like!

Shaun: It's not that I don't wanna spend time with you, cause I do. It's just... Ed doesn't have too many friends.
Ed: Can I get... any of you *****... a drink?

i should be ashamed of

On a similar theme, I think I'm mostly like Daisy from Spaced. Lots of dreams of greatness but I do find it hard to get out of the pub :)

I am told that I resemble the 'cockney bruiser', Ray Winstone. However, I have little in common with his whelk-guzzling, 'How's yer farva' ways. To be honest, the foppish, dandy of a swordsman in the film 'Rob Roy', called Archibald something or other, and played by Tim Roth, is quite similar to my character. The assembled Caledonian types mistake his gentlemanly airs for weakness. They are soon to discover that the perfumed, be-wigged 'Macaroni' is a deadly enemy to all who dare cross him, and a master swordsman. En guard...

Miniminch,
Well, dear heart, I have declared the wicked Archibald Cunningham to be my fictional likeness. Is it not time for you to reveal your choice? I am sure that your 'army of detractors' [as you elegantly phrased it] will hold their fire, at least for a while...

I have to admit to being the doppelganger of the wonderful Edie from 'Ab Fab'.

My daughters play the role of her long suffering daughter Saffy in attempting to reel me in, make me behave, stay home and bake cakes.

They fail.

Frequently. :D

Are you like him "at the begining", or "at the end" of the film.

;)

I've been havng a think and it seems to me that some of the best characters on British TV are deeply inadequate.

Basil Fawlty, Rimmer in Red Dwarf, Rigsby, Reginald Perrin, Del Boy from Only Fools....,Fletcher in Porridge (not a bad bloke but he is in prison!), Terry Collier in Likely Lads.

I rather fear at my worst moments I have bits of all of the above in me.

I used to think I was like Anakin Skywalker, full of unchannelled rage.. And like his eventual alter ego Darth Vader, I look good in black :hihi:

I'd like to be like Henry's Cat.

Kind of looking a bit simple from the outside, but inside I know what is going on really and mosey through life according to my own happy little philosophy.

Yeah I really dunno where that came from, I was inspired I think.
