We have nearly got our dog used to travalling the car now, so We would like to give him a run on the beach.
Does somewhere like Cleethorpes allow dogs on this time of year?.

They're allowed on certain parts of the Beach afaik... He'd certainly be allowed a doggy paddle in the sea..

Canines? or were you making a qualitative coment about the standards of feminie beauty on the east coast.
All beaches where you can take dogs are signed. There is usually one on each stretch of coast

Yes, I was referring to hounds. Although I have seen lots on the beach I am not entirely sure if they were supposed to be there.
Had a few problems with links recently but hope this works:
EDIT: you'll have to copy and paste, it's not working!

Try a place called Hunmanby Gap. About 2 miles either direction where dogs can run free and sea goes out over 1000 mtrs. Just north of Brid.

I'm not so sure. Flags on beaches have far more important uses than to tell people if they can or can't walk their dog - a sign is obviously clearer.
A Yellow flag means a generally good, clean, beach environment, but not as good as the prestigious blue flags.
However, whether the flag has been earned because dogs aren't allowed on the beach I cannot say.
may be too late to be of help but both Cleethorpes & Scarborough ban dogs from the beach from April to September. went to cleethorpes last week without the dogs & saw the signs. Scarborough introduced this bye law 10 years ago & we haven't visited it since.
