About 9.35 this morning (28th May) i noticed five or six jets flying over Shiregreen heading North did anyone else see them?
I say Red Arrows because from a distant they did look red :P but then again i'm colour blind.

They flew over High Green the other day. It was in the morning, probably the same morning that Jon mentioned. I was in the bathroom at the time, and heard a very loud noise. Wasn't sure what it was at first, thought it was a very large vehicle coming down the road.
It started getting louder and louder, and I suddenly had a really scary thought. I did for a tiny split second think it was a big plane coming from the Robin Hood Airport on a crash course for my house, and I was filled with fear and dread. Then I heard my sister call from her room, and she said 'Oh look it some red jets, looks like it could be the red arrows!'
They were flying fairly low and quite fast, there was about six of them.
Anyway she called me at work today at around lunchtime, and told me that they have gone over the house again today. This time she said that there were more, and the noise wasn't quite as bad.
Funny how I've never noticed them going over before. Mind you years ago I was at my Mum and Dad's at Intake on a beautiful summer's day. I was looking through my binoculars at an aeroplane, and through the lens I caught sight of the red arrows as well. It was really weird, as I would not have seen them with the naked eye, I just happened to look through my binocs and the right place at the right time!
The world of aviation is a mystery!!

Working now.
I saw them overfly Lladudno on Saturday in two formations of chevrons.
I think they're doing displays on the Isle of Man for the TT races which are on at the moment. At least, when I was at the TT about 8 years ago, the Red Arrows would always do a display.
Ah, happy days.
