Seen an advert for a 24 two hour special leading up to the screening of season 7 does anyone know when the 2 hour special is being shown?

It will be shown in the US on 23rd November. I don't know of a British screening, and that's most likely because one hasn't even been discussed yet, let alone decided.

Linky linky. (http://www.denofgeek.com/television/56148/24_robert_carlyle_and_a_two_hour_special.html)

I would not expect this to appear on British screen until next year, but keep an eye on Sky schedules in case I'm wrong.

I am, in fact, wrong. Totally wrong. Partner is watching some rubbish or other on Sky as I type, and they've just run an advert that this 2-hour special will be shown next Monday at 10pm. (Presumably on Sky One, but definitely on Sky Somenumberorother.)

Thanks for the info Heyesey  I know the uk isnt as far behind the us for screening anymore due to things being leaked on the web but didnt realise it would be on this quickly.

Can't wait to see it but... why on a Monday night? Sunday night is 24 night, everyone knows that.

Sunday night is its premiere in the USA, and the makers might not be willing to let Sky show it at the same time, for arcane reasons of their own.

So the alternative, I imagine, would be to wait a week.

I don't hold out much hope for this 2 hour special. The last series was dire and from what I've read of series 7, a former well known member of the cast coming back from the dead as the arch enemy sounds dreadful clutching at straws idea. However, that said I will watch it but not piece meal.

Series six was probably the most dissapointing. They haven't done a great job of covering up who the bad guy is as well either just check the trailer on Youtube. BUT I have to disagree with you that the character is coming back from the dead as in their 'death' scene there wasn't the silent 24 clock!;)

Good point! Plus if it was shown a week later most people would have just downloaded it and watched it.

But we were all lead to believe that he was dead.

Damn, I forgot to set Sky+ for this so will have to watch out for its repeat. Was it any good? Not spoilers please!

Erm not bad but not as much action as expected. Watch about an hour in (without giving too much info away) they run into some trees and you can see a camera man which is a little bit unprofessional and it should have been edited out, first time I have seen a mistake like that on such a big programme.

Thanks Danny Boy, I did manage to catch it on Tuesday when it was repeated and an hour in was all I managed. I have to say I thought it was dire and couldn't be bothered to watch it till the end.:(
