hi i was just wondering as i quite fancy having a go but cant find anywhere besides abroad to have a go ,let me know if anyone knows

There's a scuba shop just up from Bed in town. You could ask in there I guess.

Yeah, London Road opp the Tramway. I think it even has a sign saying lessons or something. When I passed I always wondered if there is a big diving tank under the shop or summat.

I believe there's one in Beighton/Mosborough area, quite near Morrisons. Station Rd near the Jet garage.

I think one has just recently opened in S6/Hillsborough, opposite the Beehive pub on Dykes Hall Road. Possibly called Diveworld or similar.

You can do a one of introductory dive for £15 to see if you like it :)

I've used them for groups & they're great & they do the Diver Propulsion Vehicles too (like on james Bond film) which are great fun. Our contact there is Steve Thompson & I believe they do a full range of courses.

Any BSAC club will let you do a try-dive int rhe pool for about £10. There's one at Chapeltown Baths.
