Hi everyone
message from the showdown promoters;
'Two dates for 2009
The first is an 8 man tournement at the Grosvenor Hotel Sheffield :
this will be fought at 66.4 - 66.8 kg F/C - 8 men fight 3 x 2 min rounds and the winner goes through to the next round once in the final it becomes a winner takes all or the finalists can choose to split it 60/40 (it being a £1000)
The Fighters only criteria is that they must have had 8 fights or below.
we are looking for Sheffield fighters but this is posted on a national forum so all requests to fight will be considered but at the end of the day
you've got to be in it to win it
for details pm me and ill pass your details on.
Secondly showdown 6 will be March the 15th again at the Octagon centre
we are arranging the top of the bill as we speak and once again it will be with some of the countries top fighters however the undercard is un decided, one of our aims is to get Sheffield fighters fighting on these events no matter what style Light continuos / Full contact / Thai (we now have Thai boxing sanctioned bouts) and the ever popular K1 and no matter what levell from raw novice anyage to more experianced fighters.
you can see fights from the previous two shows on www.p4tv.com
so the shows are televised and placed on an internet tv channel
So any clubs intrested in placing fighters get in touch
previous clubs that have competed are;
KTBF
Black Dragons
SDF
Marsdens Allstyles
Sheffield Academy (Lau Gar)
Legends Gym
Andy Marlows Gym
Kombat Sports
Falcon fight Academy
This is truly an event to let people know that Sheffield Has some of the countries best fighters.
Visit www.showdownevents.co.uk for details of the venue
thanks '
Come on Sheffield clubs let showcase you fighters and give them a chance to step in to the ring at the countries BEST Kickboxing/thaiboxing Venue, i rekon that there are champions out there that have not felt the buzz of what the Octagon can give, for some fighters they may only do it once but its somthing they will never forget and something that no one can take away..
