Google is awesome. Also you may want to have a look at Dempseys. Its the most popular gay bar/cluyb in sheffield. I myself dislike the place and found it a little dingy both times I was dragged there by gay friends but then again I'm straight and thus have no taste according to them! :(

dempseys or club x-cess... sheffield gay scene's pretty underground. nothing like manchester, leeds or liverpool unfortunately.

I've always thought dempseys looked a little dingey, surely it isn't the main venue?! Why did fuel shutdown?

Afinity on Campo Lane
Climax- 2nd Friday of every month at Fusion and Foundry
IDentity- can't remember where it is, somewhere near the wicker i think....
Speed Queen- Last Saturday of every month

Dempseys is great friendly place - can go there b4 9pm without paying membership - its karoake tonite might turn up myself ;-)

You are not a gay, I am the only gay in this village :).

Depending on what you are looking for, Lions Lair Tuesdays is the meeting point for Uni and Hallam LGBT societies. You can be any age to attend, bottle offers and free food. It is generally a little more subdued with music and lighting for more chatty atmosphere, those that want to party in to the night, head to Dempseys around half eleven.

What does underground mean? and also you did not mention Lions Lair, Affinity, Sanctuary, Identity, Climax/monthly, Speedqueen, rah rah rah etc etc.:loopy:

yes and there are a lot of notable luminaries on the Sheffield gay scene - Carbs ;-)
