hi can any1 help me with my problem had my tv now for just over a year and every now and again i go to turn it on and makes a strange noise and then comes on and goes back off. other day took me 30 mins turning it off and on to keep the thing on also the standbay light stops on while the tv is which is strange.

have u got any warranty with it, coz i would take it back and exchange it. Sounds to me as if you are just one of the unlucky ones (like me) who got a dodgy telly.

Mine (an old crappy one), used to do the same thing. By accident i changed the scart leads around and it never happened again. I'm not saying this is the problem but it's worth trying :)

this sort of thing happened to my sister's tv once.

it turned out the on/off button wouldnt lock when pressed in, so we got round it by wedging it in place with a bit of cardboard to keep it in place.

give it a try you may find it does the trick.

hey people its two month out of warranty lol. i got told it might be a problem with the power bored and thats £200 to fix

seems like its a common problem with samsung, check out avforum and see how many people have the same problem
