Nice site!

Glad to see CSS being used.

The theming of phpBB is pretty good but you could do with a logo for it.

Also, as you've got PHP on the site I'd set up a 'Contact Us' form for people to use. That way nothing like an e-mail address appears on the site. Although they're cloaked and so not likely to get picked up by spiders and used for Spam, the contact page is, IMO, a much neater way to deal with enquiries from web site users.

contact forms seem rather formal
(no pun intended)

They may seem a bit formal but they offer quite a lot of advantages.

First, if you end up with a lot of mail you can set a form up to route mail based on subject to various people helping you run the site. You can also be contacted by people even if they have no mail client on the PC they're using to browse the site - with an email address they have to fire up a mail program to send the message.

unfortunately my space hosting offers no email hosting and the email forwarding doesnt seem to work
