View Full Version : Davey on FA charge. alex3659 13-11-2008, 19:38 barnsley manager Davey charged with improper conduct by the FA , due to his behavior at the game against sheffield united . hmm interesting development . Heyesey 13-11-2008, 22:02 Specifically, his response to United being awarded a penalty is what's landed him on a charge. Bladesman 13-11-2008, 22:31 Yeah his ranting and raving about the penalty has landed him this charge. He was even bold enough to say after the match in the interview that he didnt think the FA would do anything about his comments. Whoops Davey you were asking for this. 8balltiger 14-11-2008, 00:32 Maybe Barnsley should be in front of the FA for poor medical treatment of their players too al_partridge 14-11-2008, 01:11 Aye, the Morgan incident completely overshadowed the fact that you got another dodgy penalty! alex3659 14-11-2008, 07:50 funny how many people on here talk about the slow motion replay of the morgan incident but not the penalty incident . thought myself the penalty was iffy until I saw the replay in slow motion , then it was a clear penalty . thats maybe why the FA have charged him . F. Sidebottom 14-11-2008, 08:43 It was a clear penalty. Would be nice to think so, but no - even if the referee really IS a completely useless moron, managers are still in breach of FA rules by criticising him or arguing about his decisions. Suppose it is dependant on what is said and in what context. Blatant ref bashing will get you pulled before the FA. It was a clear penalty. At least an Owl can admit it, Kozzy nearly caught the ball. There was claims for a pen, but because of the refs bad positioning for it, people thought it would go. Thankfully the linesman had a good position. Whether it be 10 yards away or 70 yards as Davey claims. If it is 70 yards though, Barnsley must have one of the biggest pitches in britain. Heyesey 14-11-2008, 15:14 Suppose it is dependant on what is said and in what context. Only insofar as they bother to pursue it. According to the FA rules, any criticism of the referee is not permitted. That you're telling the truth would not be a defence. |
