View Full Version : Favourite movie cars fozzybear210 13-11-2008, 19:44 What is your favourite movie car and why? Mr_Squirrel 13-11-2008, 20:26 Mad max's interceptor special................ just look at the damn thing.......pure evil http://www.lastinterceptor.com/real.html Ginner 14-11-2008, 01:28 Gone in 60 seconds (2000) - Shelby Mustang GT500 (http://www2.udec.cl/~miortiz/autos/images/Ford%20Shelby%20Mustang%20gt%20500_jpg.jpg). Because it kicks ass. Bullitt (1968 ) - Ford Mustang 390 (http://www.1-18scalecars.com/Ford/Ford_Mustang_GT390_Bullitt_front_quarter.jpg). Because Steve McQueen kicked ass. Casino Royale (2006) - Aston Martin DBS V12 (http://www.allsportauto.com/photoautre/astonmartin/dbs/v12/2007_aston_martin_dbs_02_m.jpg). Because it's gorgeous and gives me the horn. Thelma & Louise - 1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible (http://www.originalprop.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/thelma-louise-thunderbird.jpg). Because Geena Davis gave me the horn. But my favourite... The Spy Who Loved Me - Lotus Esprit S1 (http://images.forum-auto.com/mesimages/3385/esprit.jpg) Why?... Because it kicked ass. Because Roger Moore kicked ass. Because it gave me the horn. Because Barbara Bach gave me the horn. fozzybear210 14-11-2008, 21:48 It is between Eleanor from gone in 60 seconds or the ghostbusters 2 ambulance/hearse. Eleanor cos she just pure sex on wheels and Ecto 2 cos of the gadgets and gismos on the roof and the sheer size. TYPS 15-11-2008, 21:32 I have a number of them Mad max's interceptor special is class in every way! Ecto 1 from ghostbusters 1 The batmobile from batman (1989) All fantastic!! honeyb35 17-11-2008, 22:43 Has anyone been to the museum of Star Cars in the Lake District? thats pretty good :) TYPS 23-11-2008, 22:25 Has anyone been to the museum of Star Cars in the Lake District? thats pretty good :) I have a few years ago, i had such high hopes and was so dissapointed! honeyb35 24-11-2008, 11:44 I have a few years ago, i had such high hopes and was so dissapointed! I liked it, I'm obviously easily pleased :hihi:. Although the batmobile wasn't there...that wasn't good.... TYPS 24-11-2008, 22:46 I liked it, I'm obviously easily pleased :hihi:. Although the batmobile wasn't there...that wasn't good.... Thats why i was gutted!! was looking forward to seeing it!! Jabberwocky 24-11-2008, 22:49 Christine from the Stephen King film/book. Its a pretty ordinary car for its age, a ...1958 (I think) Plymouth fury but since the film that car has held a certain appeal for me. Id love to own one. steelerbabe 25-11-2008, 09:29 General lee from dukes of hazzard. I am a child of the late 70's early 80's, that is my excuse !! Oh yeah, not strictly a car but I loved the bikes in Chips !! bendeanwragg 25-11-2008, 12:30 back to the future cus everyone wants to travel through time lol Rich 25-11-2008, 12:36 The car from the Flintstones! *gets coat* Seriously, the Batmobile, in all its forms, > everything. LitleMermaid 11-12-2008, 15:54 Chitty, obviously! PinkJo 14-01-2009, 20:06 The white lotus from the James Bond (roger moore) film or the pink Honda S2000 in Fast and Furious 2 (crap film tho) TylerXIII 02-03-2009, 11:57 The black (Dodge Charger?) car from "Blade" L00b 02-03-2009, 12:13 Audi A8 from Ronin: not that special in itself, but you've got to love seeing it driven as it should. All 'in the context', that one. Travolta's TVR Tuscan in Swordfish: because I want one. badly. Diesel's Dodge Charger in The Fast & The Furious: long-time personal favourite muscle car (peg level in the "personal favourite stakes" with a '69 Camaro) Cruise's NASCAR racer (any) in Days of Thunder: there's just nothing sweeter-sounding than a race-tuned V8. in my book. (that said, that vintage red Corvette Schwarzenegger test-drives in True Lies, when he floors it just before handbrake parking-it... nyom!) The favourite-favourite amongst these 4... probably the TVR, despite the pant-ness of the film. Frohike 12-03-2009, 18:10 How about KITT from Knight Rider????? the-Mechanic 14-03-2009, 15:49 Probably got to be Elanor for me, Gone in 60 seconds nighthawk82 20-03-2009, 19:17 My favorite are K.I.T.T. from the original Knight Rider (a car that looks cool and can talk, common!!) Magnum P.I's Farrari (Damn looking car with a great theme tune) 1989 Batmobile (best looking ever) Mad Max Interceptor (Just the sound of the engine) Back To The Future DeLorean (I want a time machine like that, even now) Blues Brothers mobile (a cop car on the wrong side of the law) Bullitt Mustang (the first and best movie chase ever) Minis from both Italian Jobs (British cars at their best) Aston Martins from Bond Films (cool British cars from the best British export) Larkfield 21-03-2009, 10:44 The van/car from Condorman. Nick B 27-05-2010, 14:56 The Delorean DMC 12 from BTTF Ftrilogy, a dream car even with the gizmos on it. The General Lee, Dodge Charger from Dukes of Hazard, pure American muscle. The Shelby Mustang GT500 from Gone in 60 seconds, horn inducingly beautiful. The Batmobile from Batman Begins, to give it it's proper name, the Tumbler. The Ford Capris in the Professionals, fast, noisy, and one of the first production cars with a rev counter. The Jaguar Mark2 in Morse, seriously classy. The Jaguar JXS from return of the saint, a design classic. The V8 interceptor from Mad Max, seriously evil. The Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger. The Ford Anglia from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, It flies, how cool is that? The Landmaster from Damnation Alley, it's a real vehicle, custom made for the movie and it actually works. And finally, The Lamborghini Countach fome Automan, a dreadful series, I only watched it for the car. On a contrary note, I don't like FAB1 from the live action version of Thunderbirds, FAB1 should be a Rolls Royce and not a ford. daaaaave 08-09-2010, 08:21 Definately the Delorean from Back to The Future :) OneSpeed 22-11-2010, 16:20 Ferris Bueller... the Ferrari GT California. Where's my knight in shining sports car to come rescue me from the tedium?! I'm totally cool and glamourous enough to be allowed in it. honest... :) L00b 22-11-2010, 16:48 I forgot to add this one (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardcastle_and_McCormick#Coyote_X) to my earlier post. Oh yes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Coyote_024.JPG). Hardcastle & McCormick, 80s US TV at its best  BMC2001 30-12-2010, 20:51 Herbie has to be high on the list! |
