My partner has a property that he's thinking of renting to the council or Housing Association.

We're pretty much going into this blind. Does anyone have any advice?

Like the procedure of actually approaching these agencies in the first place and what to charge? The general set up really.

I have have a property to rent out (in Staffs) as I've just moved in with my partner. I contacted the council enquiring about the possibility of renting my property to the council or a Housing Association. The Housing team at the council passed my details onto the Housing Association who deal with all the social housing stock and I'm just waiting to see what they say. Make sure your partner checks the terms and conditions of the mortgage as mine clearly states that I can not rent directly to those on benefits but can do so via the council or Housing Association.
