It was widely reported yesterday that Microsoft has approached Google within the last two months to discuss a potential partnership or merger. Microsoft are desperate to gain a foothold in the Internet search business.

What are your thoughts on this?
What are any possible implications?

How about Google becomes default search engine on all computers; any attempt to use rival search engines causes your PC to obtain worms. :D

Google being partnered with Microsoft wouldn't! They just can't help ruining everything they touch. Google are doing just fine without them IMHO.

They would make an "evil" combination.
