View Full Version : Fave Fictional Character
Funky Dave 01-11-2003, 12:19 Who is your favourite fictional character, and why? Out of any book, Tv programme, play or whatever. You don't need to be snobbish, if you really have a thing for Oscar the Grouch, then say so and be proud of it. I'm not sure who mine would be. Sherlock Holmes, Macbeth and Eddie the Iron Maiden monster would all probably make the shortlist :loopy: !!!!
alchresearch 02-11-2003, 09:18 Either Jack Ryan or Rincewind.
shaggy out of scooby doo
CSI (not miami) guy with grey hair (cant remember his name)
Father out of all about me (?name)
and maybe malcom out of malcolm in the middle OR Dooie-hes cool
and the mad child out of the wild thornburrys (hes mad)
Fletch
Good thread btw
Santa. Boo hoo how I cried when my dad came home and told us kids he'd just run over him on the way home from work on Christmas eve.
Santa is fictional isn't he?
If so, who keeps coming to our house?
Phanerothyme 02-11-2003, 17:00 Poole and O'Malley from the Brentford triangle - heroes, role models and drinkers par excellence.
As written by the demented Robert Rankin. If you get a chance to read "Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse", do it, you won't be disappointed!
Jack Ryan.
Cato and Macro from the 'Eagle' books by Simon Scarrow.
DI Frost :)
I'll think of more
Carlwarker 03-11-2003, 17:25 Robin Hood - although, whether or not he ever existed is still a matter of debate.
Edmond Dantes - The Count of Monte Christo.
Winnie-the-Pooh.
rincewind 13-09-2004, 10:55 Father Jack
I'm told by my Irish friends that he's typical.
alchresearch 13-09-2004, 12:00 Richard Hannay and MacGyver.
Hannay for his adventures in the five John Buchan books - shame only one was made into a film (39 steps). The books are far better than any of the films.
MacGyver purely for the outrageously far-fetched storylines!
Lickable 13-09-2004, 12:06 Captain Picard - Star Trek TNG.
Peter Griffin - Family Guy
Stewie - Family Guy
Brian Griffin - Family Guy
Homer J Simpson - Simpsons
i could go on...

I like Quagmire in Family Guy!
evildrneil 13-09-2004, 12:22 John Steed and Emma Peel - for their tuition in the correct way to save the world in style - whatever your gender!
Note that this only applies to the original 60s TV episodes not the god-awfull film which turned Steed into a snivelling whimp and Emma into (of all things) an American *shudder*
FairyNormal 13-09-2004, 12:28 Mine would have to be:
Homer J Simpson
The Cat in the Hat
Hong Kong Phooey
And last but not my any means least ...........
Frank N Furter (Rocky Horror)
Lickable 13-09-2004, 13:40 "I like Quagmire in Family Guy!"

'Heh heh... i have never done a spanish chick before... ooooo leigh...'

Nurse Gladys Emmanuelle.
Darth Vader out of Star Wars
