Cricket is mine favorite game and my favorite cricketer is Sachin Tendulkar from India and Clarke from Australia because both cricketers play their game according to the situation of match. I also like the game of football but I think today cricket is more popular than football.

Shane Warne, for the amazing amount of spin he could get.
Courtley Ambrose, 'cause i met him and he was really cool.

However Cricket the most popular sport?

perhaps worldwide but if so only because of India having such a large population. Over here football rules and you know it!

the heroes are the people who play in local cricket and the clubs who give up their time to promote grass roots cricket.as my argument goes with local footballers and with the exception of a few, unless you come from west yorkshire or barnsley you will not get in the yorkshire team.

Sure, I loved the way Vivian Richards used to swagger to the wicket with that don't mess with me confidence. He was tough too, he never wore a helmet. I recall him being hit on the forehead by a fast bowler and he didn't flinch, he remaned facing towards the bowler and was ready to receive the next delivery. That left the bowler

Used to look watching Botham in his pomp, a true all rounder. Good batsman, great bowler and a fantastic slip fielder

Its difficult to beat Botham's 146 in 1981 against the Aussies. His contribution made the match do a complete U turn. I seem to remember Dilley batting well supporting Botham in that match. When I was 10, my hero was Freddie Trueman. Viv Richards, Gary Sobers - all magnificent.

Ian Botham
Shane Warne
Courtley Ambrose
Andrew Flintoff

Flintoff as a bowler is great but as an all rounder he is light years behind Botham

Sir Geoffrey

Although many others mock him he does seem to know more about the game than the rest of the experts put together.
