Hi all,
Just wanted to ask a very quick question as I am unsure with Rachel is my first baby.
Her hair is getting very long in places although there is still not much of it covering her head (I still find this very funny !)
When do you have their hair cut for the first time ? and how ?
Thanks all.

Lewis was born with a long tuft at the back of his head just above his neck and not much anywhere else. Baby sick always found its way into it so I cut it off! He was about 3 weeks.

I had speedy 4's hair cut at around 6 months, just trimmed to try and thicken it up and also to get her used to the hairdresser early on. Luckily, my hairdresser is fab - i sat speedy 4 on my knee and she just cut it. She's had another trim since, and is now desperate for another one.

My eldest was about 4 lol, she had really fine baby hair and it was only then that her fringe started going in her eyes. My lad was about a year as it was starting to matt up where he laid on it, and my youngest is 22 month, her hair is still baby fine and short so I haven't bothered yet.
My lo is 19 months and was born with quite a lot of hair. I have to trim his quite often and have done since he was about 5/6months. It always looks like a basin and is messy but I don't think I was ready for him to have a proper boys hair cut. Now though I'm starting to think it does need a hairdresser!

My girls did a remarkable Friar Tuck with hair round the edges but not on top for ages. Now, finally with a full head of hair they haven't had a cut yet.
I don't plan on cutting it for a long time to come, it plaits nicely enough so I plan to leave it.

I think it is when you have a boy (so no little bobbles) and it starts to get in their eyes then I suppose that is the time :-)
My eldest daughter is very nearly 3. Her hair's pretty much to her waist. I don't want to cut it off but its not practical for her.
Can anyone recommend a hairdressers who don't charge the earth and are very good with children?
