The christmas mini-series was called "Wallace and Gromits Cracking Contraptions". I won a copy on video, the full series is on there with some extras from behind the scenes.

I've not actually seen it in shops but I'm sure it must have been released on DVD at some point.

:wow: has it got the '2' ads too? BBC '2' is in them - you know? the blue plastecine(?) one. My favourite is the one where Gromit is eating mince pies. 2 sneezes and falls off his stool :D

I think I've missed out on something here!

I don't remember seeing any christmas ads with Wallace and Gromit in, which is why I thought you were talking about the mini series. I wish I'd seen them, I'll keep an eye out for them 'tho on the net.

I've seen every single website on the www (no really I have!!), so I knew straight away where these idents where kept. The brillant TV-ARK (an off-shot of the even better TVcream).

Anyway, go here:
http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/bbccontinuity/bbc2continuity1990s.html and download away!!! (and yes I agree these idents are vey funny, and only small downloads)

As for the film itself, it looks really good, ardman and dreamworks haven't rushed it, and it looks like the time spent has payed off.

The 2 trailers are here (http://www.apple.com/trailers/dreamworks/wallace_and_gromit/) and here (http://video.craveonline.com/video/comingsoon/?showVideo=514&statsid=26&pid=1)

It doesn't at all! It's always about 3 years before things get to terrestrial TV. In fact, it used to be longer a few years ago.

Went to see W&G today - absolutely fab film ! Wasted on the masses of kids there - lots of adult gags in it [look at whats on the box near the end of the film and you'll see what i mean !]

If you go, make sure you get there on time. I arrived 5 minutes into the usual advert time, only to find they had the 'Penguins from Madagascar - Christmas Caper' short film on already. Grrr ! The bit that I caught was very funny though

That'll be because, as it is Advance Previews this weekend, it doesn't have "the usual advert time". This is due to the fact that Previews never have ads, only trailers...and even then it is not usually a lot.

Handy thing to note for future previews (this includes any films that 'open' on a Thursday...they will be Advance Previews too)

We saw it last Monday and greatly enjoyed it. One point I would make is that you need to stay to the very end of the credits - and not just so you can see that someone with the surname of "Warren" is involved.

Saw it on friday - v.funny! and the random Madagascar penguin cartoon at the start was pure class, penguin mafia + wallace & gromitt! Could the cinema get any better!

During the credits there are bunnies floating around the screen.

At the end of the credits a sign proudly announces that no animals were harmed during the making of the film, only for one of the bunnies to collide heavily with the sign.
