View Full Version : Sheffield firework displays
I'm going to the event at the Fat Cat on the 5th November. As well as the usual beery attractions they are having a bonfire, BBQ and fireworks in the yard situated between the pub and brewery.
Anyone else here going?
Also anyone here attending any other organised events other than After Dark at Don Valley Bowl - perhaps we could compile a list!
Wheres the Fat Cat??
also there may be quite a few going to The Crosspool Tavern. on manchester road in croospool.
mr craig 24-10-2003, 17:12 I might well pop down The Fat Cat, sounds like it would be a really good night and not to far away either.
The Fat Cat is here! > http://www.thefatcat.co.uk/
Tony Ruscoe 30-10-2003, 13:07 Are there any more organised bonfires / fireworks displays on Saturday 8th November? A couple of mates are coming up to Sheffield and wanted to do something that didn't involve getting too drunk... (but that could always change ;))
Are there any organised firework displays happening in Sheffield?
Sorry just realised the same question has already been asked on 'going out in.....' This forum malarkey is all a bit new to me!
"After Dark", Don Valley Bowl, 5 November, £5 adults & £3 children under 14

Not as many as there used to be. Many organised firework displays have been scrapped because of outrageous and punitive insurance costs.
Well done the legal profession!
The Fat Cat pub, next door to Kelham Island museum, is having a bonfire party, with a fireworks display, bonfire and BBQ. And being a pub you can drink!
As far as I know admission is free, you just pay for food and drink.
The best place to be this Bonfire night will be the Don Valley Bowl as there will be a bar there this year!!
The Crosspool Tavern at Crosspool will have bonfire, fireworks and food. This is usually good. They light the fire at 6.30pm and the fireworks from 7ish.
I do believe there is also one at the Holly Bush pub in Rivelin with fire, fireworks and bbq.
back2basics 04-11-2003, 12:11 Can i get some recommendations for fireworks displays in Sheffield tomorrow?

Suggestions please - as i need to know by 6pm
Tar very much

I realise now I didn't need to ask - have just witnessed the best display ever on my doorstep...Park Hill! Resident organised (Parkway pub and others) and fantastic views all around Sheffield at the same time.
