Welcome back to sunny (?) Sheff!

As far as pubs etc where bands play and the music is good (can't say you will definitely find a fine lass but you never know) the list is seemingly endless and its worth checking out Sandman Magazine (available from a number of outlets for the magic price of nothing) to see whats on.

Pubs/clubs

Dove and Rainbow (behind Argos)
The Grapes, Trippet Lane
Trippet Wine Bar, Trippet Lane
Classic Rock Bar, Ecclesall Road
Casbah
Fez Club
Corporation (formerly known as the unit)
Leadmill
The Wellington Boot (Rotherham)

If I forgot anywhere I am going to play the 'too early in the morning' card cos it is and Im still asleep. Hope what I did say tho will help you out!

You'll love my pub, it's the second boozer on Ecclesall Rd (as far away from Ecclesall as you can get - almost!). Non stop classic rock from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

This website are meeting up there on Thursday night.

Do you remember DJs Mad Sass and Lez? They all DJ at the pub.

Don't forget the Blake in Walkley, a good assortment of rock and other stuff, with a whole load on free request over the bar.

If you're looking for a good gig to kickstart your life back here in sheffield...I'd have to suggest headin down to the Boardwalk on Monday (10th Nov) to check out a highly-enthused local band "Existend"

They've not played much recently, but I've always loved em. They are "a fusion of guitars with dark rock" to create something...pretty good!

They're first on on Monday (10th Nov), so be sure to get there early, I'll be there anyways.

Can't be too enthusiastic about crowd sizes, as it's the Boardwalk, so go for the music rather than the atmosphere...

don't forget the sportsman, just down from city hall. PPl at work call it a scary goth pub; to which i laugh. Also coporation has a few different rooms, one which just plays rock n metal
