View Full Version : Anyone Had Any Recent Quotes For Cat Neutering Please magsie 06-11-2008, 12:41 to save me time! Got lots of feral kits (who are obviously not feral now!) to have done. Sheffield area. Thank you all x helenasq 06-11-2008, 12:54 Ring Paula at the RSPCA maggie and explain you situation, she should be able to give you free nuetering vouchers  magsie 06-11-2008, 13:43 Have emailed the RSPCA Helen and got no reply. If you could email me Paula's number that would help cos I think the RSPCA admin at spring St have gone now haven't they into their new building. Thanks flower. PS Everyone else - would still like to know of vets who do cheap neutering just in case I get some part-payment vouchers from CP - need the money to go further! Thank you xx nefertari 06-11-2008, 14:11 We've just had our cat neuted and it's £30.00 at pets at home in Chesterfield, don't know if there is one in Sheffield though. sezbetz 06-11-2008, 14:11 Magsie - I emailed Peak vets back in August to enquire about vacc and neutering costs as I have got two foster kittens which now look like they are here to stay. Below is what they quoted to spay a female kitten - no idea for males but they are often cheaper arent they. I usually use Spuire vets in Chesterfield but Peak seem to be the most reasonable Sheffield vet. "The cost to Spey them is £39.32 each which covers the pre and post op checks, the medication whilst they are here and obviously the procedure itself" Hope that helps a bit. At least I only have the two to pay out for - Im sure you have many more than that having read your previous threads. magsie 06-11-2008, 14:31 Sezbetz - that sounds very reasonable, thank you! Nefertari - was that a male puss? This is saving me so much time, thanks so much. Even if I am fortunate enough to get part-paid vouchers from CP or RSPCA at least I'll be able to use a cheaper vet and will make the vouchers go that bit further! x SpeedDemon 06-11-2008, 14:45 I've just called spire - male neutering is £20, female is £26 :D meditation 06-11-2008, 14:55 I Have Just had my lad done for free it was on the gumtree website if you can travel to the vets that are doing it. teeny 06-11-2008, 15:42 I wonder if Cats potection league still do vouchers ? Moonbird 06-11-2008, 15:50 I Have Just had my lad done for free it was on the gumtree website if you can travel to the vets that are doing it. Do you have a link for that at all please? meditation 06-11-2008, 16:09 It was either on Nottingham or sheffield gumtree under pets section magsie 06-11-2008, 16:10 Wow to all the above!!! Much better than I thought! x sezbetz 06-11-2008, 17:01 If you can get transport to Spire vets they really are very good - shame they are chesterfield and not sheffield but I usually go there. I rang them too but SpeedDemon beat me to it with the post!! Perhaps if you dont have transport we could team up when I take the foster kits and do an on mass trip to Spire with their permission!!! :hihi: magsie 06-11-2008, 18:04 Hi luv, I do have transport (just about live in my car when I'm trapping!) and living in the south west of Sheffield, getting to Chesterfield is no problem. Some of my kits that need spaying are at Stocksbridge so if I do manage to get full spaying vouchers I'll use them for the north of Sheffield! Does that make sense? How did I manage without Forumers before?? x SpeedDemon 06-11-2008, 18:48 hehehe good luck magsie - you can always call in for a cuppa and meet my brood when you've dropped them all off :) Joey 06-11-2008, 19:14 Did you manage to get the new RSPCA telephone number? I'll pm it you if not. helenasq 06-11-2008, 21:46 Hi Magsie, sorry but I've been out dog walking today and to open evening at sixth form this evening.I've just got back. I haven't got a number for new RSPCA but if you ring them and ask to speak to Paula I'm sure she'll be able to help you. I've always found her very helpful but used to call in in peson when delivering bedding to the pound. teeny 06-11-2008, 22:48 Thats great news !! |
