I'm sooo proud of my four Dumbo's.

They just handled their first kitten attack with such skill, I doubt poor Harry will bother them ever again.

They are bored at the moment as they aren't getting quite as much ranging time as we would like. I have sore arms and a small kitten so they are coming out one at a time while Harry naps, until he's big enough to defend himself or I'm strong enough to break it up when he picks on one and gets mobbed.

Anyway Harry has just decided to attack them through the bars and they got him. Between them they got toes on both front paws and bit hard enough to hold him and not draw blood, they just held him until I got there.

The poor little man was screaming and I really thought the emergency vet would be needed, but no! Not a mark! Not a limp they just scared him silly:D

To cheer him up he's had his first taste of catnip drops and he's now killing the contents of my laundry basket, so I think he's recovered.

Don't you just love it when they make you proud?:D:thumbsup:

Oh this did make me laugh!!! I could visualise the scenario, well done to your ratties. Mine love to nip fingers through their bars and they have had the dog's nose on occasion too.

The funniest part was when the two adult cats both decided the other one was to blame for Harry's distress and had a full blown fight while I was trying to get him free.

There was big hair and panicked faces all round:hihi:

Anyway, we're all friends again and everyones sleeping off the trauma:)

Awwww- that must have been a hard lesson for Harry to learn, but he'll be a more settled boy for learning it. Ratties aren't good to play with- stick to ribbons and wine corks Harry.

I've been expecting an altercation for the last week or so, he keeps climbing the cage king kong style:hihi:

He's now been put in his place by all the animals, so fingers crossed he'll leave them alone.
