hello people,

quick question.

I am a sci fi writer and was wondering if there where any clubs/meetings going on around sheff.

I'm also looking for info on magazines to submit work to. If anyone knows of any decent web pages/publications that can help me out I would be greatfull.

Cheers peeps

Phill.

Hi Phill,

I have attempted (and am still attempting) to kick off a fiction writing group - I'll post a new meeting date in the next 24 hours!

I used to write my own Star Trek stories, with myself as the Captain of the USS Spacehawk, an Excelsior class Starship which was the next best thing to the Enterprise... The crew was named after long standing friends over the years, such as Commander Morgan my first Officer, named after this lass from London who I fancied when I was away at College years ago...

Phill,

As to what I write - basically some 'hard' science fiction, a little in the 'tall tales' category and some general short fiction and fantasy stuff.

In other words, I can't make my mind up. :)
