Did anyone see the on the National and Local BBC news this morning about the Sheffield family who were taking part in a "Big Brother" type experiment. They were all taged and scientists were looking to monitor their movements around the house, where they spent the most time etc. etc.
The house was really high tech and flash. Does anyone know whereabouts the house is?

The only thing I'm aware of is an experiment where a family live in an environmentally friendly house and they have to follow fairly strict rules regarding re-usable energy (utilising sunlight), recycling and eating off organic foods and wearing clothes made from sustainable resources. To the best of my somewhat limited knowledge, their progress is to be recorded and shown at some point on television.
The reason I know this is because a few weeks ago my family walked up to the Sportsman pub on Lodge Moor and I noticed that one of the new houses on the hospital site was of a strange design. It has a lot of windows, a terrace/balcony overlooking Rivelin complete with open air spa-bath. And there are a lot of solar panels attached to the building.
Upon further questioning, I discovered that this is the 'experiment house'.
Should the camera scan across the open plains of Hallam and focus upon a freezing family sat outside the Sportsman, that's us!
Incidentally, if this is not what you had in mind, and I've gone up a totally wrong road, then kindly forgive me. Someone with brains will soon tell you what it is you wanted to know!
It is indeed on the old lodge moor Hospital estate (David Wilson homes).
The family are spending 6 months in a experimental, enviroment friendly house and will be monitored through out.
The family already come from the same estate.
I saw it on Newsround today.
Not that I watch Childrens BBC or anything... I was just... channel hopping...

Pilon,
I wish you luck in your GCSE's.

Actually, I only watch it because I quite fancy the presenter. She wears a bit too much make-up though...
To keep on topic...erm... there are no cameras in the house at all - the people are just tagged. Their movements are being monitored in the hopes that it will help scientists and architects build more suitable houses in the future.
Is this the same family and same house that David Wilson offered to a family to live in for 6 months to see how they got on with the style of house?????
