View Full Version : Java RTE Performance t020 23-05-2005, 20:06 I have the latest version of Sun Microsystem's Java RTE but the performance is shockingly slow ever since I upgraded from the old version. My PC spec is relatively good so does anyone know what could be causing it? e.g. applets taking about 10 times longer to open than pre-upgrade. I've found the downloadable install file for 1.4.2 now though so I'll have a go at rolling back to that. All that I came across, an example being the chat room on this site. They all started to take roughly 10 times longer to load. I use Windows XP by the way.
