I have downloaded a program from the NEC website.
When I try to install it I get the folowing message: Unable to install Installshield Scripting Runtime.
Could someone tell me what this means and what I can do to install th program?

could try installing using compatibility mode - right click > properties > compatibility..

If you are using Windows Vista try right clicking and select "Run as Administrator".
