hi guys,
how do i wean my cats off of the litter tray and out into the garden? i dont mind them using the tray but the dogs are constantly searching it for "scooby snacks" and thier breath smalls awful.


any tips:D

Oh this made me laugh!! Mine come in from the garden to use their tray so I am a useless trainer. Your dogs sound wonderful. Scooby snacks - what a hoot!! What a great owner x

Hahahaha my auntie's dog does this whenever she comes to our house, and so did the foster samoyed we had for a whlie! Gross! Chocolate logs I call them, but scooby snacks is a much better name:lol::lol::lol:

you need to hover round the tray and when they are about to go in it. Chase them outside. Its a bit harsh. But you need to make the litter tray a bad place to go.

Then remove it and make sure when you think they are going to go put them out. When they do go out, give them lots of treats.

Also make sure they have somewhere easy to dig out side (bark chippings are good)

It takes ages, but it does work eventually.

Just start moving the tray towards the door then after a period of time actually outside, I have the same problem with my dogs poo eating...their breath just beggars belief :gag:
