Hi,

Any Liverpool supporters out there who know where the Champions League final is being shown on Wed night - sports bars etc? Would like to watch it with some like-minded people rather than being a saddo at home with the other half who doesn't like footy...

Cheers,
Mark.

I've asked for Liverpool footy pubs before. Try a search.

Sorry, it was harder to find than I thought it would be :(

And it was for Sky matches - but it may help

You lucky, lucky bunny!

Once again, I'll be in the Lescar watching it; can't wait!

I've already informed my supervisor that I will be a mess on Thursday regardless of the result.

You'll be a mess?!

I fly to Istanbul at midnight tomorrow from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, and fly back at about 2am on Thursday morning.

They (the Turks/Fifa) are throwing a party for us in Taksim Square on Wednesday. We'll be there at 6am....:partyhat: :partyhat: :partyhat:   :gag:

Sorry dude. If it's any consolation I am seriously in the dog house.

The missus thinks £500 a bit much for just under 24 hours in Istanbul.

Wimmen! :loopy:

She quite clearly has her priorities the wrong way around. She's probably also under the delusion that she is more important than football.

You could score a few 'brownie points' with her by offering her £500 to spend on herself whilst you are away in Istanbul. Just a thought.....:D

Quite.

I took her to the Man Ure game this season, and she enjoyed it, thankfully not enough to come to Turkey with me!!

Way ahead of you, have offered to pay for her to have a day in the Spa on West St with one of her freinds.

I know the score!!!

 Well some people have inflated ideas about themselves

There's a saying in my family: 'I've been seing Liverpool play alot longer than I've been seeing you!' :D

Umm, its an English team in the Champions League Final, I think the question is more who isn't going to be showing it!

Does this mean all us short Liverpool fans are going to struggle to get a spec infront of a screen :(

LOL - Just been trawling through my old posts in an attempt to find a particular thread, and found this one, which I thought I would re-read for nostalgia purposes.

It then dawned on me that I hadn't told you....

I was back at my parents on the weekend after the game, as it was an uncle's birthday. My dad and I were sat outside in the sunshine, having a beer before we left for the party (waiting for the wimmin). The sun is setting and we are still on top of the world...

Me: Oh yeah, give us your bank account details and I'll put the money for Istanbul in.

<pause>

Dad: Did you enjoy it?

Me: Yeah, of course I did, it was great.

Dad: Don't worry about the money. Maybe you can take me to the next one. Cheers, son [raises glass].

Me: [raises glass] Cheers, Dad.

Your Dad is going to be out of pocket.
He will never get the chance again.

Guderian, we're Liverpool fans, not Man U fans..... ;)

Nah we have a decent enough chance this year (of getting to the final).
