I posted on a recent thread that when I was a kid we would have Eel Pie. This was as it says, eels in liquour with a crust on top.

How do you feel about eating Jellied Eels, or any other edible eels if it comes to that?

The title of the posting by the way is from a late 1950s song written by Lionel Bart and recorded by Joe Brown.

I’ve never tried Jellied eels as i live in Sheffield and not the East End. My Dad lived down south when he was in the forces and I think he developed a taste for them. Is their anywhere in Sheffield I could pick some up?

I ha a really horrible drean about having to eat eels the other week. My friends family had too many so they were eating them in everything. Euch! Disgusting!!!!!!!

Disco, to get a taste, although more of a 'mass produced' taste they are obtainable from the big supermarkets.

In the old days they were scooped out of a big enamel basin, still warm.
