I’ve always been interested in football hooligans and how they seem to be able to afford to go to games, in reality though do they tend to pick and choose their games and if so, which games do they choose and why.

Obviously local derbies will appear high on the list, but are there any others that seem to drag the nutters out.

For example do United and Birmingham have an irrational hatred of each other.

Millwall, brum, leeds, cardiff, swansea all have sizable 'nutter' elements that seen to look for trouble wherever they go- most of the other teams in the football leagues only come out for derbies or when they are playing one of these teams with a reputation.
