I've got into the habit of turning the volume down on annoying averts and invariably don't turn the sound back up until the program starts again. Do you think conscientious advertisers should have a right to censor annoying adverts?

I think the problem is that what one person finds annoying another either doesn't notice or quite likes. I've got a real problem with the Sainsbury adverts at the moment, as I've already complained at length about on here :hihi: and feel myself getting very agitated when any of them come on. I have to do the same as you - its almost as bad as road rage! Lol!
Today my inspiration was the rice krispies ad, and as soon as i'd written this, they put it on again...

I think DFS should be hung, drawn and quartered for blasting us with Mariah Carey (a sin in its own right) and her version of All I Want For Christmas Is You - in October.
That's why Sky+ is so good. Record your programmes and watch them later, fast forwarding through the ads at x 30 speed!
