View Full Version : Pantomine thread resurrected!
Just in case anybody wonders what's happened to it, the thread for the Pantomine trip has been moved to the Going out in Sheffield, Evenings out (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=412809) section.
But today 26th December, at the risk of having this thread removed, I'm making it the official thread for this evening out, so that Walking Group regulars, who are the only people going to the Panto, can catch up on meeting point and time etc.
Full details are further along in the thread.
Just bumping this thread up a bit, and for anyone unaware of the planned night out, here are the details:-
On Monday 29th December a number of regular walkers are going to the Manor Operatic pantomine at the City Hall. If anyone would like me to get them a ticket, and haven't already spoke to me about this, please indicate so tonight as I will be sending off for them tomorrow. The cost is £7.50 per ticket, £6.50 for children.
The night out is for regular walkers (i.e. anyone who has ever been on one of the walks) only.

I wondered where this thread had gone to, searched all over Going Out Section.
Is it too late Scoobz for tickets?

No it's not too late for tickets, but I thought you were going another time with Hemlocks & Inkies?
neoteric 02-11-2008, 17:07 OK you may have noticed I have now put a link to this on the top of this thread - it's behind you :hihi:
Well, after a late burst of interest, including Maggie's Mum 2 days after the close off date :(, we now have 15 people with their names down for this Group walk to the Panto :suspect:.
I've been in contact with the ticket organiser and she says there'll be no problem getting them all together.
Question though. Where do we start the walk from?

Does this mean the tickets are booked now? If yes, I will pop you a cheque in post to cover costs, thanks:)

Yep, just had it confirmed, all sorted, tickets on their way to me.
At a walk a few weeks ago, we decided that the best place to meet for this "walk" will be on the steps outside John Lewis. As the performance starts at 7.15, how about we meet up at 6.50? One question. Who's bringing the map and compass for this one?

We are still on for this but do you mean the big steps at entrance to City Hall?, sorry can't think of any outside John Lewis:huh:
Ahhh, maybe there aren't any steps outside John Lewis :hihi: , please for give me, 'twas called Cole Brothers last time I went in there, and the old memory ain't what it used to be :loopy:.
That's where we're meeting anyway, outside John Lewis, whether there's steps there or not!

That was a great night. I was really surprised at the production levels and the sets and costumes. An awful lot of work must have gone into it all.
Cheers for organising the outing Scoobz

neoteric 29-12-2008, 23:00 Really enjoyed myself, it's ages since I've been to a pantomime, and the last time I was on stage (http://picasaweb.google.com/neotericwalks/PantoTime#5133896558602159778), it made me feel like getting back into the am drams again. I know it's just an excuse for some cross dressing; anyone know where can I get some trapeze traning woooo hooooo......
What a great night out and good turnout from the Walking Group - I've just got back via a medicinal nightcap stop :):):)
MissChatter 29-12-2008, 23:26 I loved it tonight, thanks for great night and followed by medicinal nightcap stop :)
Same time next year anyone?:D
Funny you should say that, I was only saying myself on the way home that this could become an annual event for the Walking Group, well, providing of course we're "allowed" to have an evening out (Oh yes we are!)
An absolutely brilliant evening, my jaws ached when I got home cos I'd laughed so much. And didn't the `token` kids we took with us enjoy themselves too :suspect:, I think young Master Taxman was the loudest "booer" in the building :o

"Oh no we aren't." :hihi::hihi:. Next year it is Cinderella, should be good.

I think that big blond haired kid deserved a sly stamped foot to stop him hogging the bucket though :D
