Hi.

I run the Sheffield Hallam University Amnesty International society. I am looking for a couple of acts who are willing to play at a fundraising event on Tuesday the 18th November at the Hallam Students Union, in aid of Amnesty International's campaign, Freedom from Poverty is a Human Right.

Info on the Campaign can be found here. (http://www.amnesty.org.uk/content.asp?CategoryID=11173)

I already have a band (Imani Hekima's) and a poet confirmed and another band (Mojo and the Beatniks) pencilled in, which means I need one or two more acts, depending on how long the union will give me. I would prefer to get at least one solo acoustic act in the line-up, so solo artists are especially welcome. As for bands, we have Imani's "free thought soul" and Mojo's psychedelic funk, so I'd prefer acts along those lines.

If you're interested in offering your services :) I would be most grateful. Reply in thread or PM me with your myspace or whatever, and I'll be in touch ASAP.

If you don't play, come along anyway! It should be a terrific night of music.

Best

Budxx
