Yeah i remember Racey,it was a catchy tune that.
Kenny and Racey were on the same record lable RAK and both were managed by the late Miicky Most.
Mud were also part of there clan and so was Suzie Quatro, and Hot Chocolate.

8) Nah Den Ace.......
"Some girls will, some girls won't
Some girls need a lot of lovin' and some girls don't
Well, I know I've got the fever but I don't know why
Some say they will and some girls lie"
I was at Junior School when this came out. It was the main tenet of our playground sex education! :)

Yeah but Racey did it too
Speeder's right, Racey did 'Runaround Sue' (No.13 in 1980-81)
Also 'Lay Your Love On Me' (No.3 1978) and 'Boy Oh Boy' (No.22 1979) as well as 'Some Girls' (No.2 1979), of course.
Sorry, I cheated, I looked this up in the Guinness Book of Hit Singles.

I remember the band Kenny , and their song "the Bump"
"there's a new dance,
that is goin' around
called The Bump,
Do the bump"
with the immortal, and inspired lines
"Hey, hey, hi- di ho-
Now your're dancin'
Nice and slow
Nick-knack
Paddy wack
Now your'e dancing
Back-to back
1-2-3, bump
(1-2-3, bump...)
C'mon and do the bump
Do the Bump,
do the bump"
(actually, I did like this group, and Midge Ure's original group, Slik, hearing this music takes me right back to the school discoes,.
But, wow, houdi! It shows how the memory plays tricks on one! I always thought that Racey were a couple of years earlier than the "79/80" years ! I am amazed, (I would have laid money on their hits being from about 77.)
Around the same time as those "classics," were topping the charts, I was also listening to B. A. Robertson, and his hits, "Knocked It Off" , and Bang-Bang". (B. A. Robertson, incidentally, was the writer of that fantastically touching song, recorded by MIke And The Mechanics, "The Living Years")
