Is anyone else totally facinated by the news on this man???

I can't see any resemblance to the man in the second news link.

I've been following this story and think it is highly likely this man is autistic. It would fit with his apparant avoidance of social contact paired with his exceptional artistic and musical ability.

It will make a fab film one day I am sure!

It could be anything really, Autism, Psychotic episode.................etc.
Or it could be that he is the guy from Canada "Mr Nobody"

My hubby was ill a few years ago (also a brilliant pianist) and was drawn to playing the piano and not much else. He was on the other side of the world and no one knew him.

maybe that is why I am so interested in this guy. I hope it ends well for him.

Maybe he is just after some movie rights. Who do you think will play his part.

I'm in the process of writing the script for a film about this:

It is called:

'Pianoman (based on a true story)'

I'd let you know what my plot entails but i dun wanna spoil the suprise twist at the end

The Mirror reported today that he told nursing staff he was German, had been working in Paris, but caught a Eurostar to England after losing his job.....He is said to have once worked with psychiatric patients and mimicked their characteristics to dupe doctors into believing that he was ill.

So he came to Britain and pretended to be sick, because he had nowhere else to go!!!

And, in a final revelation which will forever shatter the enigma of a man ... the source told the paper that he was in fact "rubbish" at the piano....Now it is suggested that he merely tapped at one key repeatedly.

The Trust refused to comment on suggestions that it was considering making a claim for compensation from the man for the tens of thousands of pounds spent on his treatment.

Too bloody right! Send him a whacking great big bill!!!

Totally agree. Thsi guy must have wanted to lay low for a few months and wondered where he could get it for free! Only one place to go! :D

These stories and the claims that he was faking makes me wonder - Wouldn't someone that made such an effort to qualify as mentally ill be considered mentally ill just for putting themselves through that?

Unless I mis-read it, there was something on the BBC website today which said he played the same note on the piano over and over again.

Who paid for his time in that place in Kent?

Who paid for his trip back to - where was it - Germany?

Where is he now? Who is putting him up.

I think there's quite a lot of explaning to do. He can't just be allowed to disappear, can he?

Well that's a crap end to a brilliant story. It would still make an epic film though.
