I have applied for a job at TSC in Manvers

Does anyone have any experience of working here or knows anyone who has. Or have you ever heard of anyone talk about this firm - just so I know what to expect, IF, I get an interview that is....

It's the same as all call centre's really, unrealistic targets, stressful, abuse from people that call in, and the pay isn't much good. Depends really if you think you can deal with it, I did the 4 weeks training, and 2 weeks of "grad bay" then did 3 days following that and quit, it's a depressing job, I decided to get out before it made me ill.

I wouldn't suggest the company. The call centre use to be T-Mobile but a lot has changed since then and job satisfaction didn't survive the changes. If you don't min living life as another number on there books then go for it. Or, if you value your sanity.....steer clear!

I applied for this job a couple of weeks ago - sent CV via e-mail - had one of those horrible telephone screening interviews - they just phoned me up out of the blue and started firing questions at me - I thought they were just phoning to confirm an interview date. They said there was a sales jobs coming up working for British Gas - selling that Homecare service to existing customers so it wasn't 'really cold-calling'...The hours were 12-8.30pm.

Well I thought I did OK in the 'interview' and they said they would call back within 5 days IF I was successful. However, due to the fact I ain't done telesales before I didnt have high hopes although I cant see it being that hard to pick it up if you have a few braincells..They havent phoned....:rolleyes:

I think if you have to go through all that crap they can at least phone you if you havent got the job as well just to explain why - just common courtesy ya know?!

Anyway it looks like I have had a lucky escape!

Looking on their website, they are still recruiting for people for a position that says the start date is 27th October'08:huh:
