I live in the US and I miss baked beans (american ones are REALLY sweet and usually have pieces of mystery meat in them) Heinz stuff like soup, salad cream etc is impossible to get even though Heinz is an American company. Mushy peas in tins are the thing I miss the most! Cheese that tastes of cheese is another thing. Most American cheese tastes like orange coloured lard.
When I have visitors from England they are not allowed to bring clothes in their suitcases, they have to fill their luggage cointainers with tins of this, that and the other thing.
There are lots of things I like about living here - food is just a minor, petty detail and I can live on plenty of other stuff but it's amazing the daft things you miss when you can't get them!

I would miss Heinz beans too, and Eccles cakes (the rolls royce of cakes).
Wow tulip...Sheffield to Idaho, thats a big step.
Actually my legs aren't long enough to stride over the Atlantic, I had to get on a plane! Just kidding. I know what you mean. I've only been here for about 18 months and at first I thought I'd made a huge mistake - I didn't know if I could survive without my mushy peas!
Tulip - do you miss Hendersons Relish? A lot of people I know who have moved from Sheffield get family and friends to bring it to them when they visit.
Yes dawny, I do but if I have a bottle it lasts me for years!
I suppose I'd find it difficult to make margerine myself :D
Every year when I went on holiday I always craved a pek and branston pickle sandwich...so much so that last year I actually sneaked 3 tins and a jar into my suitcase!!
I always take Ribena too!!
I also luuurve spicy curry pot noodles....I regularly get the pot noodle horn...have you seen the pot noodle dribble on my forum T-shirt in the gallery..:hihi:

I would miss things like Mayo, Baked Beans, Branston Pickle, Tinned Tomatoes, Cheese etc. One thing I DO miss, living in Lancashire, is proper Fish and Chips done the Sheffield way. It is nigh on impossible to get good Fish and Chips this side of the Pennines. The idea of a proper bag of Sheffield chips, and a unique Sheffield Fishcake makes my mouth water. This is rather frustrating, as I am sat at a computer in my office at Uni, many, many miles from Sheffield. Have some for me! Oh, and a large carton of peas too. Er, and a buttered breadcake as well, please [none of these 'butties', 'cobs' or 'rolls' ]. I'll have a can of Dandelion and Burdock as well. And make it large chips too. Do they do curry sauce? Get some of that too.
When I was on holiday in America I missed a decent cup of tea!
Not sure what else i would miss - coleman's mustard? HP sauce?
I would miss chocolate, wine, beer, piccalilli, frozen filo pastry, Bovril and loads of other stuff.
Mayo, its such a hassel to make but makes everything taste so damn good!
oh and i wouldnt like to have to make my own chocolate
