Well,

Each to their own! I know that members also meet in coffee bars, we've debated a BBQ and so on. Some members also meet for 'board game' evenings. And the Dev Cat isn't that smokey, most of the time.

Anyway, good luck to you!

Joe

We've had Cinema meets in the past, and once or twice we've been out for meals (including my infamous Italian meet at Maria's in Crookes last July)..

If you want to suggest an alternative to pub meets, do a thread and see what kind of response you get.

I suggest that if you arrange 1 of these meets, you would increase your chances of like minded people attending.

Maybe some of us are just p*ss heads ?

Hope all works out well for you.

!!! You have the same birthday as me!

Also - I've not been to any meets, but would be more likely to do something activity based. Not gym though. I can't afford to lose any calories :P

We once suggested a meet in Graves Park including lunch at the Rose Cafe and a game of rounders....

It received quite a response but we are waiting for a run of good weather before posting a date...

Would that be something you might like to attend??

:)

Well you could just come along for the picnic..:P

I don't think many forumers would meet up first time at a swimming pool...:suspect:

I certainly wouldn't...me in a swimming costume....:gag:

Botanical Gardens? Are you allowed to play ball games there? Maybe a park would be a better idea., the idea of rounders in Graves Park appeals to me ...

I vote for Graves Park or Meersbrook Park ... or Endcliffe or Bingham Park .... any park really ...
