We are getting married abroad in February and I've started thinking about wedding insurance - has anyone had any for an wedding overseas?

We have arranged our own flights. The accomodation and ceremony has been organised by a travel company but we are not sure if the company will have a representative there as it's only a small travel specialist company.

My worst nightmare is getting there and then no-one knowing nothing about the ceremony.

Does insurance cover you for this type of thing?

I booked my Hawaiian wedding co-ordinator online, exchanged lots of emails and phone calls with him before departure and checked his website and other people's comments on him before we went, so we knew for a fact he was ok. You're relying on other people, whether it's in this country or elsewhere.

If the worst case scenario happens and you get there and your wedding co-ordinator disappears, the hotel ought to be able to assist and link you up with someone.
