Based on what information? :suspect:

I've shopped in there - the staff are really helpful, and don't run away from customers like I've seen some do in Queens Rd branch

Savbaby, PM vidster and ask for k-blade (his missis). She works in Queens Rd store. If he's not here, click the link in his sig to get to CBTtechs

I'm glad someone's posted about this, it's reminded me.
Last weekend, I went with my parents to get a gas BBQ from B&Q at Queen's Road.
From what we could see, there were only 2 on display so we asked and the guy said that's all they had. Looked further down and there were loads. Picked up our BBQ, and went to purchase some gas from the (I think) customer service desk, near entrance. My dad (been a little deaf and nearly 63) asked a young lad behind the desk what gas he had to get. To which this creature replied "How am I supposed to know that?" So I wheeled the BBQ to him and showed him, he just stood there still saying the above, with his miserable looking face. He then disappeared to go and get some (from what I gathered) and a young woman came to the desk to serve the lady behind us. My mum had been wondering round and she came over and asked my dad where the lad had gone, so my dad said that he'd just gone down there somewhere (yes I know, just imagine!) This woman then goes "Hmph, YES, he's gone to get YOU, YOUR gas"
He came back and left my dad to struggle to get the gas cannister out of the trolley. Served my dad, asked him to sign something really abruptly and then marched off!!

I just had to get that off my chest because I could have linched him! I don't even talk to my dad like that!
People like that, who obviously have no people skills shouldn't be in that job!
Anyone else had the same problem, I think I'd rather go to Darnall from now on!

Don't know, I was too busy thinking how much I could really have hurt him! He was only young, mousey blond/brown spikey hair, quite a pale complexion.
The lady behind commented on how he spoke to me dad.
Same lad?
And to top it off, just seen my mum who told me it was the wrong gas they got!

People who work there tend to be very friendly and helpful in my experience, so if are either of these then you should have a good start ;)

Thats a bit offensive to people who live in Darnall don't you think?

I live just up the road in Handsworth and visit the store all the time. Never seen any trouble and it looks a good store.

Best of luck!

Probably never even visted Darnall or B&Q. I have lived in Darnall for years and welcome the B&Q as a big boost for the area.

i went for the interview and am waiting to hear. thanks for everyone who gave sensible answers.
pete c who said it was his low point and or mcdonalds was, you really should not even bothered to post. your comments could have put me off going for the job but luckily i am more mature than yourself and ignored your stupid coments.
as it is i have a very good cv but i have restricted hours at the moment so am looking for something to fit into that. its either that or put my daughter into nursery full time (50 hours a week) and return to my assistant managers job.
