... shredded coconut ? I want to make Nigella's coconut macaroons. I've found lots of desicated (sp?) but haven't come across any shredded. Been looking in the big supermarkets. In honesty, I don't know what the difference is, but I'm assured they are definitely different.

That sounds like alot of hard work - you'll have to send me a sample of the finished macaroons so I can assess whetehr its worth the effort ;o)

ha ha ... my kitten is in charge of quality control - usually involves a loving lick or small nibble of as many samples as he thinks necessary :gag: ... shall I still give you a shout ... no ??
