Just thought, ive seen some sort of cafe, painted yellow i think, and as i have walked by it i think it says that its a craft sort of cafe, i saw kids sitting at a table in the window painting some stuff. Just wondered if anyone has been in?

Thought i might take my sister, shes 11 in august when she comes up in the summer.

Its on the same side as somerfield, but just a little bit further up, banner cross ish if im right!

It'll be great for an 11 year old, you go and choose a pottery thingy, and then paint it, and then go back a week later when they've put it through the kiln and it's glazed and stuff. it's good.

Can you post some more details such as where this is etc as I am sure my son would love something liek that.

Do you know if you have to pre book and what the costs are please?

The name is Fired Arts 957 Ecclesall Rd.They do amazing pottery to paint like mugs, cats, vases etc. The time i was in there, a couple of children were painting something and were really enjoying it. The owner is very helpful, and the finnished artical is truely first class. My friend painted a mug which was obviously unique and gorgeous. I recommend it for adults and children alike.:nod: :bigsmile:

we booked out the whole place for one night. You only need ten people to do this. We took our own wine and you can order in a take away if you want and make an evening of it. The prices depend on what you decide to paint. i.e you pick the piece of pottery you want, be it a plate, a mug, money box, frog etc. You sit and paint it get a bit merry have a good laugh, leave the pot with them when you have done and pick it up a week later all lovely and glazed. It costs the price of the pot plus about £3 each for the use of the paints and the premises. I had a really good night, something really different to do !!!
