View Full Version : New Series of Top Gear neeeeeeeeeek 20-05-2005, 14:02 For all you fans of the program and to give all the Misserable people something to moan about, a new series of Top Gear starts on Sunday. YEY :D  Skatiechik 20-05-2005, 14:29 Great! Greenback 20-05-2005, 14:54 Maybe they'll have the speedy policeman in as the star guest? I'd imagine he would be a hero to dear old Jezza, and many of his obsequious admirers in the audience... :P blademan 20-05-2005, 19:10 i used to like top gear when it was just cars but bnow theyve got new stuff eg star in a car i thin its got even better. most legendary telly ever when they did all that stuff to the toyota van (drowned it, put it at the top of a tower block that was being blown up) and it still worked!!! Lucy_Smith 20-05-2005, 19:20 Mmmm Jeremy Clarkson... :heyhey: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: Jaynos 20-05-2005, 19:47 Originally posted by blademan i used to like top gear when it was just cars but bnow theyve got new stuff eg star in a car i thin its got even better. most legendary telly ever when they did all that stuff to the toyota van (drowned it, put it at the top of a tower block that was being blown up) and it still worked!!! O no! The funniest thing was when that Hammond bloke was playing concers with the caravans! WallBuilder 21-05-2005, 10:33 I really like the funny bits whether that be caravan destruction or Jeremy driving up a mountain just to see if it could be done. I must admit though the Toyota truck being 'tested' still makes me smile. When it got washed away by the rising tide it looked so sad when it was found washed up on a beach several hours later. I just hope the new series is as entertaining. cobaltblue 22-05-2005, 20:22 :( Just realised I have missed tonights show. I thought it started at 9pm!! Shiesh 22-05-2005, 20:56 Aww - it was fantastic...even for us girlies...loved the 5 a side football with those little Toyota's....now that would be the ultimate 'stag do' or 'boys day out' activity!! Ummmm bet it would cost a packet though as 10 cars @ £7,000 a piece all wrecked at the end of 90 mins...:D WallBuilder 22-05-2005, 23:51 I know I quite like Jeremy Clarkson's rather unorthodox ways of telling us how good a particular car is but have to admit I was cheering the tank on. I also liked the stigs choice in music tonight. alchresearch 23-05-2005, 08:13 My TV guide says it's repeated on Tuesday at 7pm. neeeeeeeeeek 23-05-2005, 08:21 YEY for the repeat... I don't think I saw it but can't remember... Thats not good.  venger 23-05-2005, 11:55 Originally posted by alchresearch My TV guide says it's repeated on Tuesday at 7pm. Now that is good news. Missed most of the programme, but what I did see Clarkson was slating the war as often as possible if you listen to some of his rekarks. cobaltblue 23-05-2005, 12:19 Originally posted by alchresearch My TV guide says it's repeated on Tuesday at 7pm. Cheers for that alchresearch. I had been scanning the tv mag but couldn't find it. Thanks alchresearch 24-05-2005, 12:19 Don't forget - tonight at 7pm. I will be recording it onto DVD if anyone misses it. It was a great show - particular the Toyota Aigo piece! cobaltblue 24-05-2005, 12:23 Originally posted by alchresearch Don't forget - tonight at 7pm. Howard 26-05-2005, 01:51 my favourite quote from this weeks show: (clarkson talking about the range rover) if one of these pulled up outside your house, you would think 'oh no, a drug dealer is here.' had me in stitches! cobaltblue 26-05-2005, 02:31 LOL that made me laff too! I did enjoy the 5-aside with the wee toyota's!!! That looked liked fun :D I liked the landie trying to escape from the tank too. Jeremy is without a doubt cheesy but that is part of his charm surely? jackthedog 26-05-2005, 11:05 Well Clarkson has surpassed hiself this time. Driving a Challenger II and a Range Sport around the beautiful countryside tearing up our wonderful natural heritage. Polluting the atmosphere with those two gas-guzzling machines. Glorifying war and death. Imagine how much heather and moss was killed during the filming of that piece. I now feel inspired to get in a tank and thrash round town chasing Solihull's child-killing monsters. When this is the effect it has on normal law-abiding everyday-people like me, how can this filth be allowed to be broadcast on national TV? Clarkson's wages and the licence fee they use for the show should be pumped into more speed cameras and road safety campaigns to counter the additional boy-racers and irresponsible drivers this programme has spawned. Mothers will probably start using Main Battle Tanks to drop the kids off at school next! It must be stopped! Come on! Support the campaign to remove this filth from the airwaves! We need protecting from ourselves! We cannot be trusted to make our own decisions so let's put the decision-making process in the hands of ill-informed over-zealous campaigners! The children, wont someone think of the children! alchresearch 26-05-2005, 12:14 Originally posted by jackthedog Well Clarkson has surpassed hiself this time. This is Salisbury Plain - MOD owned land and has been for countless years. You need to address your complaints to them, not the BBC. tom_a_west 16-06-2005, 14:00 well, jeremy clarkson has definatly won my award for the best opening to a swimming pool. classic. just thinking of the mayors face still makes me laugh. wheither it was known that that would happen or not. he wins one  |
