Just think Sheffield FC v L***s/Liecester at home:D daftlad 25-10-2008, 12:54 Yes, good luck to all at Sheffield f.c. If I was not going to the lane I would be going there this afternoon, because I am a member there. I have seen quite a few matches up there and hope they do themselves proud and get through to the 1st round proper SteveBlade 25-10-2008, 13:01 How many games have they had to play to get this far? Good luck to them, off to get ready for the Blades match now. :) sammsufc 25-10-2008, 13:08 come of Sheffield Club! (got a quid on em to win) SteveBlade 25-10-2008, 16:14 Theyve won 1-0 :D Heyesey 25-10-2008, 16:30 Theyve won 1-0 :D BBC says no. End of the Blades game said Sheffield FC won  Heyesey 25-10-2008, 16:41 Ay? End of the Blades game said Sheffield FC won  The Beeb site didn't update from "latest score 0-1" until well after 5:15, so maybe someone had taken it to be a final score; but sadly, it wasn't. boyface 25-10-2008, 17:22 Hallow. Blyth Spartans season ticket holder living in Sheffield here. I usually make every game home and away, but buying a hoose right now and money is tight... that's by the by. I didn't make today. Got many a text and phone call from the blurkes there though. Sheffield set out their stall well and went 1-0 up around 5 minutes. Awful first half it seems. We had most of the ball but hoofed it, Sheffield had much less of the ball but had by far the better chances. 2nd half was another story and it was all us. 1-1 early in and a second not far behind. A third later in the half sealed it. A good effort from Sheffield by all accounts in VERY windy conditions. A standing ovation and warm applause from the Blyth faithful as Sheffield left the field of play as well. Mutual respect for each other from two of the world's most famous non league football clubs. happyhippy 25-10-2008, 20:26 Hallow. Blyth Spartans season ticket holder living in Sheffield here. Shame you couldn't get boyface. As I said on the other thread, I got bullied into going to the Lane. It did say on the scoreboard at the Lane that the score was 1-0 to Club, but in fairness, it didn't say 'result'. All the very best to Spartans, and I hope you get a very favourable draw in the First Round Proper . *_ash_* 26-10-2008, 00:56 Aww, what a shame. Would have loved to watch Sheffield in the FA Cup proper. :( happyhippy 26-10-2008, 12:26 Yes good luck, if they win they will be in the 1st round proper and as the oldest club in the world will they get live coverage. Just think Sheffield FC v L***s/Liecester at home:D Well now we know. It would have been home to Shrewsbury. |
