Everyone who has taken rescue piggies from me, you are stars.

I have decided after much deliberation that after this final lot of rescues goes I will be no longer taking in rescues (Unless under extreme circumstances). I have been doing rescue and rehoming for almost 4 years now and in that time, many pigs have passed through my door, young, old, pregnant and the dying.

Previously I have not had any problem with people adopting from me, and have received many generous donations from various forumers, without you I would have been lost. Recently though I have had quite a few people take pigs from me, with hardly any donation, One lady even took 5 pigs from me, and gave me nothing in return, not even a thank you. (I am not having a go at anyone, so please don't think I am)

With rising feed costs, and not getting any more income, I have had to make this very hard decision.

I may still have pigs for sale but these will be my own home bred pigs and will have set prices to reflect this.

I will still be very happy to advise people on general care of their pigs, and be able to put you in touch with other rescues/breeders that will have pigs available at various times in the year.

Once again I would like to thank all of those who adopted pigs from me, and gave them all fantastic homes til the end of their days

If it's purely the donation side of things, can you just have a set donation per piggy? I'm sure people wouldn't mind, after all many other rescues do this.

Its not just that, I'm going to Uni in September also, so won't be around to care for very sick pigs, and do rescue runs across the country anymore

Its a hard job, I had to stop rescuing about 15 years ago now as I had 10,000 worth of vets bills, I had to sell my home which i loved and move away. It put my relationship through alot of stress.
I understand how hard it is to do hun.
You have done a fab job. I have a name of a guy her who does gp rescue. would you like his details?
