Anyone remember John Gersham Bamforth, who lived on Brick Street some years ago? He was the son of Bob Bamforth (once well known as an amateur boxing referee/judge), who lived at Brunswick Street for many years and later at Fairleigh until his death in 1972.
I believe that John Gersham Bamforth had a son called Richard, who probably still lives in Sheffield.
I have a feeling that within the family he was often called Gersham rather than John.

The only Bamforths i knew lived on Valentine crescent, Ian and Diane
