View Full Version : Does anyone believe in Guardian Angels?
Jillybabes 19-05-2005, 11:20 I know I might be mad or maybe not but does anyone believe that Angels exist or has anyone seen one or aware of theirs. We are all supposed to have one around us to look after us from the moment we are born to the moment we shuffle off this mortal coil. I would like to think that there is someone there looking out for us. Im reading a book on the matter at the moment which is quite interesting. Im in the middle myself at the moment, not sure what to believe until I experience it for myself. You probably all think Im daft. My boyfriends mum once saw what she describes as a lovely face in front of her and she wasnt scared she just felt all her troubles lifting and she felt wonderful afterwards. Was this an Angel, who knows. Just wonder what people think.
I do - I was in a very nasty car crash when I was 18 and afterwards my mother found a feather amongst my clothes....she said that was a sign it wasn't my time !!
Spooky but sometimes I feel someone is behind me...when I turn there is no-one there!!
:suspect:

Hi Jillybabes
Could you tell me what book it is please? I have a friend who would probably be interested in reading it...
Thanks very much

I'd like to, but since my own seem to be on strike (or just plain bone idle) it's not easy to believe in them.
I dont think that they are always there, otherwise bad things would never happen, but that they are one of your friends, or family and sometimes your loved one. And, in turn, you are somebody elses Guardian Angel. They draw strength from you without you even knowing it....
whats the book called?
Jillybabes 19-05-2005, 12:44 The book im reading is called Spirit Guides and Angel Guardians and its by Richard Webster, tell your friend to look on Amazon.co.uk which is where I found it.
I'm sure that I can believe in them as so many people don't seem to have such luck.
One of the nicest compliments I've ever recieved though, was from a friend of mine who was Bi-Polar. I would go months without seeing her, then one day just feel the need to get in touch. Everytime I did, it was just as she was hitting a low. Two times I randomly turned up just after she had taken massive overdoses and got her to hospital. After the 2nd incident she told me that I was her guardian. :)

I do but i believe that they are members of your family who have died and are now looking out for you.

karenjane39 19-05-2005, 12:56 I definately believe in angels, try this site:

Some great stuff on there and a forum too! :)
I agree that we all look out for one another and offer help where it is needed. But maybe there are higher beings there for times of great need - I don't know. I would like ti think so.
I believe in angles up to 90 Deg, after that they're too obtuse ;)
Birth-Peace 19-05-2005, 16:03 I definitely believe in Angels. Mine has saved me many times x
AJ sheffield 19-05-2005, 16:10 I think my guardian angel must be busy with personal commitments. They aint been doing much for me lately. In fact I think they have subcontracted the work out to a harbinger of doom:sad:
Actually, there is one angel who keeps me out of trouble ;)
mitziwillow 19-05-2005, 16:41 I have been asking for guidance from whatever/whoever is out there.
We had been talking about guardian angels at work and my colleague said that you have to ask for help and you will get a sign. A couple of days ago I was drawn to a dark shape on my gravel garden and found a feather. I hope this is a sign that there's someone to look after me. I too sometimes get the feeling that there's someone over my shoulder. Particulary in the same place in the house. It doesn't frighten me at all.

That's what I've heard - that you have to ask your Guardian Angels for help.
I wouldn't say I totally believe in them, but I would like to think there are 'beings' out there looking after me. It's a nice feeling to think you have a Guardian Angel or Angels. Especially if they are loved ones who've passed on.

Well if its true, i must have a team of about 20. I also have thoes lil devils (about 5 of) on my sholder telling me all the dirty tricks ;)
hmmm, if u beleive in angels do u also have to beleive in god and life after death?
I have family and friends that keep an eye on me and they seem to always be there when i need them. Now i just need to stop being so independent and allow people to help.
Pavel Olevski.
EDIT: Second thoughts, why don't i feel like i'm missing something because i dont feel a higher presence watching over me?
FairyNormal 19-05-2005, 19:59 My mum had an odd experience once. She was just setting off to cross the road at the bottom of Forbes Road in Hillsborough when she felt someone/thing grab the back of her coat and she was physically dragged backwards off the road and onto the pavement just as a bus came round the corner and through a red light. Strange thing was, there was absolutely no-one around. She was in no doubt that of it hadn't happened she would have been run over.
Wierd eh?
She definatley believes in Guardian Angels now.
