From today's Times Online:-

If at first you don't succeed, you can try again with different words.

Please Note: You'll need to have your computer sound/headphones on to hear the words. :)

I had a problem with the word "mist". I used the word "missed". :)

I relied on the sound of words, and didn't seek the word's definition.

Which goes to show how some words need to be placed within a meaningful phrase or sentence in order for the brain to recognize the spoken word. ;)

I like it, but I get words wrong because I either can't make out what they're saying properly or I spell it right, but it's not the word they wanted. Like somebody said above missed/mist. I got cord instead of chord. But both are right!

My best score so far has been 229.

I got 11 out of 15 but 2 I miss heard cause of the stupid computer voice even after clicking listen again 3 times. As if I didn't know how to spell bottom or consultative - put button and consultancy  . Never heard the word fusillade or ubiquotus.

Both times 14 from 15 both times for the wrong words: wine not whine (been on the forum too long) rung not run.

Such a relief that it's English spellings though.

They fooled me too. I thought she said 'packed' but it was 'pact' apparently.
